We are a full-service building and building services company that can help with design, permitting and cost-estimating. With more than 100 of our own employees, we are able to exercise greater quality and schedule control. You will find our budget and schedule diligence second to none. Through every step of the process, we work closely with you, keeping you informed so there are no surprises.
Over four decades of building on the Cape has put us in a position where we are comfortable operating in contracts of many different structures. Some contract types we regularly use include firm-price, cost-plus and cost-plus with a guaranteed-maximum-price (GMP).
As a client, we want the process of building your home to be as rewarding and enjoyable as the finished project. One of our Project Managers will shepherd you as the client through the process as your single-point-of-contact. Reporting to our Project Manager is our General Foremen. The General Foreman has total control over our employees and the subcontractors on your jobsite. Our highly skilled labor force includes carpenters, laborers, painters, tile setters, licensed plumbers and house inspectors. Having our own employees execute such a significant portion of the work on all projects allows us better control over both the product and process.
We build custom homes — one of a kind homes of every shape, size and architectural style — while giving you the choice of using your own plans or designers, or choose to have us provide comprehensive design-build services. Since 1971, we have built hundreds of homes and have done many major renovations and large-scale makeovers. Every project is unique and special.
Remodeling
Remodeling is another area of expertise. We do all kinds of renovations in all rooms including kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, basements and second floors.
We also offer in-house tile work, with our own on-staff tile setters. Our tile setters do a variety of tile work in all rooms of a house including intricate custom showers. A collection of some completed tile projects can be seen here.
Additions
Additions, new rooms, dormers, second floors, decks and screen porches are completed each year by Cape Associates.
We also build non-residential facilities including offices, banks and churches. Recent commercial projects include projects at several different branches of Cape Cod Five Cent Savings Bank, the Herring Cove Condominiums, the Fine Arts Work Center- Days’ Lumber Building Renovation, Seamens Bank Eastham Branch and the Brewster Meetinghouse.
